Vikram (Rajeev Khandelwal) and Nitya (Divyanka Tripathi), both from diverse backgrounds, connect over their love for cooking while training to be chefs. While Vikram is rustic and raw, Nitya is urban and sophisticated. Opposites attract and sparks fly.
The two are madly in love with each other till Vikram commits a grave mistake that cannot be forgiven. It drives a wedge between the two. The two cross paths again after eight years. Vikram is a Michelin-starred chef, while Nitya too is super-successful. Eight years are not enough to heal her as Vikram’s presence still pains Nitya. Vikram is longing to be with her but it’s unlikely she would come back.
Divyanka Tripathi and Rajeev Khandelwal’s chemistry in Alt Balaji’s Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala is as intense as it could get. The two depict romance, betrayal, separation and pain very effectively. It’s a treat to see the two talented actors come together for a project.
Divyanka who shot to fame with Ishi Ma in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is in a never-seen before glamorous avatar and is successful in breaking image of a typical bahu. As for Rajeev, like always, he’s able to slip into the skin of his character effortlessly. Together, the two are magic and this is one pair viewers would love to see on screen again and again.
